Twinfield & API connections
Twinfield Accounting is a software solution that enables accountants, SME's and non-profit organisations to automate their bookkeeping. You can use our API if you want to connect your own software solution to Twinfield Accounting. Wolters Kluwer places very high demands on its products when it comes to safety and performance. That is why Wolters Kluwer has decided to make the certification of existing and new API Links mandatory. To certify the API link, a subscription is required.
To ensure the stability of Twinfield Accounting, we ask you to comply with our API Best Practices and we and we verify the API link through certification. Every two years, we will perform an audit to inspect your API usage.
In addition to the actual technical and functional certification of your link with Twinfield Accounting, you can then actually call yourself 'Certified Partner'.
Twinfield's Certified Partners are entitled to:
• 2-year (re)certification of the API link with Twinfield Accounting
• Your own test environment Twinfield
• Accounting Access to our Support department by submitting cases
• Mention (with link to its own website) on the Wolters Kluwer website under 'Certified Partners'
What happens if you don't certify?
If you decide not to certify the link, the ClientID will be set to inactive. We will notify you in advance. You can then still subscribe within two weeks. If we do not receive a response, we will set the ClientID to inactive and the link will no longer be usable.
What does the certification process look like?
Broadly, the certification process consists of the following steps:
- Register your company on the Twinfield Developers Portal and check our documentation for API Best Practices.
- Complete this form to request a certification subscription.
- Summarize what you have already developed or are planning to build. Download and complete the Excel file in the attachment of this article.
- After signing the order form. The certification consultant will set up an online meeting. Our consultant would like to receive this information:
- Which information do you want to import into Twinfield?
- Which information do you want to request from Twinfield?
- Please fill in the Excel file in the attachment of this article
- The online meeting: During this meeting, the consultant wants to see a demo of your software and how you onboard new users. How you support your current users (do you have a knowledge base?). Discuss the details in the Excel file.
- As a result of the video call, the consultant will send you a summary of all improvements that can/must be made.
- If all findings from the online meeting (step 7)have been resolved, the certificate will be granted to the organization.
- Wolters Kluwer will send you the certificate.
